“I am very happy to participate in the training, not only learning a lot of useful knowledge but also meeting and sharing with other club members. I will apply into practice to achieve the best results” (One member of Trieu Thanh club for people with disabilities).
“The training helps me improve my knowledge and exchange experience to do my job well, and know how to plan for and support the Club’s operation in a better way.” (One member of Trieu Thuan club for people with disabilities).
“The training in participatory planning and monitoring this time as well as the previous training content held by the project for the club members are very useful, because the clubs are newly established with its new members whose skills and experience of the club’s operation are on the way of learning. Through the training, the participants are bale to learn from one another for their later application and ownership into the club running and development. They will be more active in joining the monitoring activities of the project and also cross monitoring among the communes” (Member of the Disabled People’s Organization in Trieu Thanh commune) Above are a number of sharing and feedback regarding the participants’ expectation in the Participatory Planning & Monitoring training class which was held for two days from September 19 - 20, 2023 within the project "Together We Can" - VM075 in Trieu Phong district, Quang Tri province, funded by Caritas Australia through the Centre Sustainable Rural Development (SRD).
There were 32 key members of the three club of People with Disabilities in 3 communes of Trieu Thanh, Trieu Tai and Trieu Thuan. From there, a plan of club operation and development was prepared. In addition, issue of participatory monitoring and evaluation was also shared and discussed so that the participants from the clubs could practice planning and actively participate in monitoring the project activities during its implementation in the area, truly reflecting the spirit, the name and the approach of asset based community development (ABCD) of the " Together We Can" project!
