On 2015 June 18th, SRD’s staff participated in a “Office and news writing skills” training session with the support of and instruction from Mr. Le Cong Luong, the Chief Officer of the Vietnam Union of Science and Technology Associations ( VUSTA). As an expert who has plenty experience in journalism, administration, organizing events, etc., Mr. Luong provided helpful and practical guidance to enhance the efficiency of SRD’s activities.

The training focused on some important elements like: skills for drafting documents, receptionists, and workshop or conference preparation and organization. SRD’s staff was especially trained in effective information collection, in-depth research reports and interview skills during the field trips throughout most of the training. The knowledge and skills learned throughout the training are important in improving the quality, professionalism and efficiency of SRD’s general communications activities as well as its project activities and administration.

The training was an opportunity for SRD’s staff and the trainer to thoroughly discuss practical experiences they have had. Moreover, many new ideas were shared for the celebration of SRD’s 10th anniversary which will take place in the beginning of 2016.
