"Over the last 10 years since its establishment, Centre for Sustainable Rural Development (SRD) has recognized five values encompassing Transparency and Accountability; Sharing and learning; Results and Impacts and Participation as its core values" – this was emphasized by Mrs Nguyen Kim Ngan, the Deputy Director of SRD in the event of "Promoting CSOs Culture on transparency and accountability (Inspring CSOs 2016)". Inspiring CSOs is an annual program delivered by the Research Center for Management and Sustainable Development (MSD), sponsored by Irish Aid. After an evaluation process, SRD is very proud to be one of 12 Vietnamese NGOs those selected into the Pitching round to share its story on good practice of transparency and accountability as well as its inspiring to relevant stakeholders. The story of 10-year development journey of SRD was shared through touching change stories of poor rural communities those having better lives thank to the supports of SRD. The story of the past, present and future of SRD not only attracted but also impressed the Assessment Board and other organizations by the highlight achievements that SRD has proudly rewarded over the last 10 years.
With the guiding principle "Transparency and Accountability", SRD always make its efforts toward its mission of supporting the rural poor communities to adapt with the climate change, to sustainably manage their own livelihoods and forest governance. Participating in the "Inspiring CSOs 2016" not only a great opportunity to promote SRD's image and its achievements to wider audiences, but also a platform for sharing experiences with other CSOs/NGOs, and inspiring the Transparency and Accountability practice to multi-stakeholders.
Three organizations with the best presentation in the Pitching event will be announced by the Organizer on October 18th, 2016.
