In late May and early June 2016, SRD co-operated with VNGO – FLEGT network members to conduct research on households’ compliance in timber supply chain during the process of VPA/FLEGT in Quang Binh, Quang Nam and Quang Ninh provinces. The researches aimed to figure out current situations and assess households’ compliance in these research areas on regulation of legal timber. Then the Network will build a database system for monitoring the situations before and after VPA/FLEGT in Vietnam. The research information pointed out the difficulties, shortcomings of the vulnerable households in VPA/FLEGT negotiation and implementation.
