From May 16-18, 2022, three training classes in skills of writing post for online sales on social network were organized by the Centre for Sustainable Rural Development (SRD) with the participation of 76 members from 10 clubs for PwDs (people with disabilities) in the project communes. It is expected that members of the livelihood groups and clubs could learn and apply these skills to improve their online business and generate more income.
Ms. Le Thi Minh Hau (Gio Linh town): “Before joining the training, I could not imagine how online sales should be. But now I learn and know how to write a post for sale to appeal to readers, know more how to take good photos and then will apply into my current sales of medical masks and flowers on Facebook. Furthermore, I also ask my friends for their feedbacks and referrals.”
Mr. Nguyen Xuan Lam (Trung Son commune): "The training is very useful, for the first time I have learnt tips of taking photos for better illustration of the post. I will probably ask for further help from my niece and nephew to enable me to think of selling agro products online in the future such as s rice, rice, guava, clean vegetables and fruits, etc. It will certainly helps me increase my income as well as afford my children’s school.”
Ms. Nguyen Thi Linh (Phong Binh commune): " I have learnt a lot from the training such as how to write and post for more interactions. Currently, I’m selling cassava starch and bird's nest, therefore, I will apply the skills such as photo taking with better angles, light-dark photos to improve my page."
Ms. Nguyen Thi Lien (Gio An commune): "Currently I am selling agricultural products such as water melons, tomatoes, vegetables, etc. After joining the training, I know how to use a smartphone for online sales. Writing a post on Facebook or Zalo plays an important role in attracting customers’ attention so that they could read our post, trust our words and then buy our products. A post should be with photos for illustration. . After the training, I have learnt how to take better photos for online sales.”
Mr. Nguyen Theo (Gio Hai 2 commune): "We got a better understand about how to write good post for online sale, how to take good photos ry, how to maintain long-term customer support, etc. The training is useful and seems to be suitable for the younger participants. I have not been able to use all the apps in the smart-phone but then will share with my family members who could then apply in reality later. In addition, the trainings have connected us together that might be favorable for our joint business on Facebook or zalo in the future.”
Mr. Phan Thanh Hung – (Gio Quang commune): "I am also planning to sell television so this is also a good opportunity for me to learn and get more experience. I have learned how to attract the viewers via good photos and interesting posts, and how to organize my personal Facebook page reasonably. I have taken full notes for later reference. Thank you for giving us this great opportunity to learn useful knowledge."
Above are some thoughts of the members who participated in the training classes on writing post for online sales on social network. The activity is organized within the framework of the project "Empowering People with Disabilities" in Gio Linh district, Quang Tri province funded by Caritas Australia and DFAT.
