The book “Climate Change Adaptive Livelihood Models: Criteria and Good Practices” is one of the most important products in the cooperation program “Research and evaluation of climate change adaptation models by NGOs’ support in Vietnam during the period 2009-2014” between the Department of Meteorology, Hydrology and Climate Change (DMHCC) and Vietnamese NGOs and climate change network (VNGO&CC) and Climate Change Working Group (CCWG). This book is compiled based on the information, the data from the reports of model development unit, the field trips of experts to gather more information of these model. So far, the first draft book has been finished by the compilation group.
DMHCC, VNGO&CC and CCWG expect that the national regulatory agencies and local agricultural production support unit will based on this book to determine to deploy or/and replicate the adaptive livelihood models/solutions, which is introduced as well as the models is being implemented that has not been mentioned in the book, in the decision making process.
In order to fulfill this expectation, the consultation workshop was held in Hanoi on August 25, 2015 with the participation of representatives of national regulatory agencies, research institutions, local agricultural production support unit, NGOs.

In the workshop, the participants discussed and comments on the content of the book, especially on the overview part of the manifestations, the impacts of climate change in Vietnam; adaptive livelihood to climate change; the evaluation criteria of adaptive livelihood to climate change. The comments were noted and considered by the compilation group in the process of finalizing the book.
Discussing suggestions for the draft document
The draft book will get the following comments, criticisms from the scientific council of the Department of Meteorology, Hydrology and Climate Change before the publication. It is reported that the English abstract of the book, which will be introduced at COP21 in Paris later this year by the delegation from Vietnam, will also be published.
