Chinh joined SRD as a project officer for VM044 (Vietnam Forests and Deltas) in February 2013. In October 2013, he became a project officer for the VNGO-CC "Strengthening the Role of VNGO in Climate Change Communication and Policy Advocacy" project and three3 VPA FLEGT related projects. Before working at SRD, Chinh gained project experience as a climate change consultant at the Asian Development Bank. He also has experience in investment, having worked as an investment officer at Maritime Bank JSC and as an Investment Analyst at VinaCapital Group. With this professional experience, Chinh is skilled in project scoping, project coordination, preparing workshops/trainings, financial due diligence, and financial valuation.
In addition, Chinh is a graduate of Linfield College, Oregon, USA, where he received the Linfield tuition award for outstanding students.
Chinh has furthered his professional knowledge by attending several workshops, such as:
• FLEGT / TLAS review and stakeholder workshop - Jan 2013 in Nam Dinh
• Viet Nam Forest and Delta's planning workshop - Jul 2013 in Thanh Hoa
• ADB-sponsored WOCAN's training workshop on mainstreaming gender in climate change and climate finance - Jun 2013 in Quang Binh
• SRD's training workshop on climate change - 2013 at SRD
