Senior Program Officer

Liem started working for SRD as a senior program officer on February 6th, 2014. He holds a Ph.D. in Development Economics from the National Economic University in Hanoi. Liem's vast working experience also adds to his qualifications. He has experience as a senior project officer for Habitat for Humanity, as a program coordianator for Bread For The World Vietnam and CESVI, as a project officer for DANIDA, and as a finance officer for The Danish Red Cross.
This experience has given Liem expertise in coordinating agriculture development programs (like rice bank development, animal bank development, embroidery promotion, market access promotion for organic products, and community based tourist promotion). He is also knowledgeable in developing strategic plans using PEST and SWOT methods, proposal development, budget planning, report writing, capacity development, selecting project partners, and project monitoring/follow-up.
In addition to his Ph.D, Liem holds certificates from many training he has attended. These include: Outcome and Impact Orientation for Development Projects by Bread For The World; Managing for Development Results by MDF International; Planning, Logical Framework and Indicators by MDF International; and Project Writing Skills by The British Council Vietnam.
