On November 2, 2021, implementing the Decision No. 1972/QD-BCT dated August 17, 2021 with the coordination of ministries and agencies, the Domestic Advisory Group of Viet Nam (DAG Viet Nam) organized a meeting to elect the leadership of the DAG Viet Nam. As a result, the Chairman, Vice Chairman were elected. Representative of the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI) Tran Thi Lan Anh was elected as the chairwoman of the DAG Viet Nam; Representative of Viet Nam Institute of Workers and Trade Unions (IWTU) Nguyen Thu Lan and representative of the Centre for Sustainable Rural Development (SRD) Nguyen Thi Bich Hop were elected as vice chairwomen.
The first section was taken place with the presence of representatives of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development (MARD), the Ministry of Nature and Environmental Resources (MONRE), the Ministry of Home Affairs (MOHA), the Ministry of Public Security (MOPS), the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA), the Ministry of Labour – Invalids and Social Affairs (MOLISA), the Ministry of Finance (MOF), the Ministry of Industry and Trade (MOIT). The Organizational and Operational Regulations of the DAG Viet Nam in accordance with the Chapter 13 – Trade and Sustainable Development under the Free Trade Agreement between the Social Republic of Viet Nam and European Union (EVFTA) were approved.
The DAG Viet Nam also approved the agenda and is preparing for a virtual meeting between the DAG Viet Nam and the EU DAG scheduled on November 9, 2021, and a joint meeting between the DAGs and the Trade and Sustainable Development Commission scheduled on November 12, 2021.
