This activity is integrated into a field workshop on the model of sustainable coffee cultivation, which was conducted in Bon Phang commune, Thuan Chau district, Son La province.

The event attracted 73 participants, including 56 women and 17 men. The main discussions and messages in the workshop were:

- Rural women are the core force that is always proactive, initiative, and actively contributing to food security and sustainable agricultural farming.

- Rural women have the right to choose varieties of indigenous plants and animals which are suitable for local conditions. They are also entitled to refuse or not to use highly toxic chemicals, as well as chemical fertilizers that are harmful to the environment.

- Sustainable agricultural farming through increasing use of organic inputs without herbicides and minimizing the use of chemical fertilizers and plant protection chemicals will promote biodiversity, contribute to better respond to climate change and environmental protection.
