Within the framework of the project "Promoting forest governance and legal timber trade through the EU-Vietnam Free Trade Agreement (EVFTA)", on April 18, the Centre for Sustainable Rural Development (SRD) organized a training course on Financial Guidance for the third parties. The session aimed to support the cooperation units to carry out research activities to follow up on the second year work plan of the project, as well as: (i) enhance the capacity for partners; (ii) ensure the effective use of financial resources for research while complying with regulations of SRD and sponsors.   

At the training session, Mrs. Nguyen Kim Ngan - Deputy Director cum Chief Accountant and Mrs. Nguyen Van Yen – Accountant, gave specific guidance on financial regulations; forms; financial documents, etc..., based on the framework of financial regulations of SRD, the EU sponsor, and the Vietnamese law.  

Ms. Nguyen Kim Ngan - SRD's representative gave the opening speech, hoping that the workshop will improve capacity and coordination between SRD and third parties.

The training was conducted both online and in-person 

After attending the sharing-training session, the staff from the cooperating units have had a better understanding of the regulations on payment - settlement, committed to strictly implementing and ensuring the progress of research activities.
