Participating in the training, the participants could share, exchange, and be guided through a number of techniques, experiences, and benefits in raising chickens towards organic farming, in order to reduce input costs, limit environmental pollution, and increase value addition. Information of techniques and steps of biosafety coop preparation, how to choose breeds, biological bedding, chicken care through each stage of development, disease prevention and techniques for producing microbial products in raising chickens have been shared, discussed and elaboared, theory combined with practice and demonstration, such as preparing fermented fruit juice to help speed up the digestive process, increase energy for animals, mixed food from several available ingredients to provide and increase protein for chickens.

"Participating in this training, I learned a lot of good and practical knowledge, for example, how to prepare probiotics and disease-preventing drinks for chickens from garlic and beer, which are easy to do and can be done at home."

“For the first time, I can attend a training with a clear and practical way of learning. After the training, I will share with other people who are raising chickens what I have learned and also training documents so that they could read and know more about how to take advantage of leftover food and how to handle coop, reducing investment costs and increase the value of chicken raising to improve family income and living conditions."

“I have just participated in a household livelihood improvement activity carried out by the project, which focused on raising chickens. I was most impressed by the sharing about disease prevention for chickens, which requires cleaning and disinfecting the coop before letting chickens in. Training method with theory and practice, sampling so that we can apply in livestock farming at home".

Above are feedback and sharing from participants after the training, which was organized within the "Together We Can" project funded by Caritas Australia and DFAT in Trieu Phong district, Quang Tri province, period 2022-2027.
