Dr. Juliane Sander
Climate Change Officer
Dr. Juliane Sander, an Australian volunteer, joined SRD as a Climate Change Officer in May 2013. Juliane holds a Bachelor of Science from Griffith University, a Masters of Environmental Management and a PhD in Biogeography from University of Queensland.
Juliane has a strong interest to contribute to climate change adaptation and mitigation in Vietnam and her background in ecology and climate change susceptibility of forest ecosystems makes her an excellent addition to the SRD-team!
Juliane sees working for the benefit of disadvantaged local communities, while encouraging forest conservation and decreasing rates of deforestation and forest degradation as a challenging opportunity that may help her gain invaluable professional experience as well as an insight into sustainable rural development.
