On 10 April, SRD, in cooperation with the Quang Nam Agricultural Extension Center organized a Farmer Field Day (FFD) to assess the project results and plan for future replication. The FFD welcomed leaders from DARD, representatives from Phu Ninh District People's Committee, Tam Loc Commune People's Committee, news agencies and participating households. Especially, the event also involved two representatives from Quang Nam Pharmaceutical Joint Stock Company, who committed to purchase all of the red turmeric produced by project participating households at 10,000VND/ kg.
This FFD is an activity of the "Improving the livelihoods of the poor in Phu Ninh, Quang Nam province through medicinal plants and market development" project, funded by Manos Unidas, Spain.
