On October 26 and 27, 2020, under the #EmPower project, UN Women collaborated with Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung Vietnam (FES) and CCWG to organize a training course on gender mainstreaming in the climate change project cycle for CCWG members. The Climate Change Working Group (CCWG) was established in 2008 with the aim of enhancing the gender mainstreaming capacity of members, which includes NGOs, development agencies, experts, and other persons.

The course's lecturers are Mr. Le Van Son - Gender Specialist and Ms. Riina Maria Haavisto - Program Officer of the UN Women Asia-Pacific Office and representatives from other non-governmental organizations working on gender and climate change such as the Center for Sustainable Development (SRD), the Vietnam - Netherlands Development Organisation (SNV), CARE International Organisation and Center for Environment and Community Research (CECR).
