On 21th February, 2018 a cross – visit between PwD clubs was held by the People's Committee of Gio Linh District and Gio Linh PwD club in 7 communes including Trung Hai, Trung Son, Gio My, Gio Hai, Gio Phong, Gio Chau and Gio Linh town.
There are participants from the project steering committee, commune staff and representatives of PwD clubs in this quarterly meeting which is an opportunity for all the clubs to share experience and lessons learnt in running their clubs. "We learn a lot of good experience in managing our clubs as well as in implementing livelihood models. This is also a good opportunity for members of PwD club to meet in persons and to exchange mutual support", Mr. L.V.T, head of Gio Linh PwD club said.
This is one among many activities of the project "Empowering people with disabilities" in Quang Tri Province, funded by Caritas Australia and the Australian Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade through the Centre for Sustainable Rural Development (SRD).
